Inspirational Thought-
Life is too short to wake up with regrets...
So love the people who treat you right...
Forget about the ones who don't...
Believe everything happens for a reason...
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands...
If it changes your life, let it...
Nobody said life would be easy..
they just promised it would be worth it.

Holly 12/29/95 ~ 03/05/2010
Holly, our 15 year old Bichon Frise, governs the roost. She thinks she is royalty! And don't let her 10 pound size fool you-she will chase our 4 year old Lab, Tootsie out of the room in a second. Tootsie is very aware of her Junior position in the family, and is quite respectful of Queen Holly. Holly Rules!
Nothing is quite as uplifting after a hard day, as watching your pets interact with one another . I will miss Holly and her little sweet face so much.

Tootsie
Our four year old, 100 pound, very loved Chocolate Lab. She thinks she is a "lap" dog..I remind her she is a "Lab" often. She still does not get it :)
My life experiences have included working as a Flight Attendant for an Overseas Airline based out of New York City-ONA. I did quite a bit of traveling to places such as Paris, The Azores, Germany, San Juan, The Bahamas and a few other fun and exciting places. I trained with American Airlines during a labor dispute, which was ultimately settled leaving me without the Flight Attendant position I trained for. Well, being the top notch company that AA is; they gave each of their trainees/graduates two round trip tickets to where ever we wanted to go! Not bad, huh? I took my Mother to Hawaii and had a great time!
I spent 13 years (off and on) working for our family business-Hershey's Restaurant-in Gaithersburg, MD. My first job was folding pie boxes at age 13 for .50 cents an hour. It took a while, but I bought my first horse with that money! I also learned to cook, served food, and anything else that needed to be done.
Owned and operated by my Grandparent's-Charles and Doris Hershey until 1969 when my Father, Tom Hershey joined the business so my Grandparent's could retire. Well...both of my Grandparent's continued working another 20+years-almost up to the day of their passing. What wonderful people they were and great role models for me.
Dad carried on, and eventually sold the business in 2003(after 30 years of serving the best fried chicken in the area)! He has since "retired" to the sunny South, and I miss him terribly. He spends the Summers with my family which we love!
I have come to realize, you are never too old to be a Daddy's girl. Dad is my favorite person in the world! He is my voice of reason- and has continued to be a loving, strong and supportive guide in my life. I encouraged him to get his Real Estate license in Maryland, which he did, and am still trying to convince him to work with me on my team. He is a sharp business man and a quick wit, which is a great combination! After the winter we had in 2010..I think I will have a harder time convincing him to come back to Maryland. Oh well...I will keep trying!
Prior to getting my Real Estate license I took many part-time college courses working towards a degree in Social Work (while juggling three busy boys at home). It was quite an endeavor, and one I had to put on hold for the time.
In many ways, I feel I have earned my degree while working in Real Estate for 10+ years. It is the best of all worlds for me! I like to change things for the better, and am a problem solver by nature. I thrive on assessing and discovering solutions to problems and I get my share of "challenges" to resolve in our ever changing Real Estate Market.
My beautiful Mother passed away peacefully at Frederick Memorial Hospital on May 25, 2010. I miss you, Mom ~ | |
Personal
Married to my wonderful husband, Dave Brunzell, on New Year's Eve of 2005. I am a lifetime resident of Maryland-born and raised in Montgomery County. I have two brothers and two sisters. Our family relocated to Florida for 5 years, returning to Gaithersburg in 1969. I graduated from Gaithersburg High School.
We currently live in Urbana-(Southern Frederick County). I love the Country setting and enjoy gardening, mowing our two acres of grass (on the riding mower, of course!) We are just one mile from Rt.270, but feels like we are a world away from civilization.

I love nature and have become fascinated with the various types of birds in our area. Every year a Sparrow builds a nest in one of our many birdhouses. It is so cute to hear the baby "peeps" once the eggs have hatched. Mother bird brings them food she gathers from the yard, and they all chirp in harmony as they are fed! They fly away one at a time, and that is it until the following Spring.
We spend lots of time outdoors spending family time together on the Gazebo.
There are five siblings; and all but one live in Maryland. My Sister Debbie is the oldest and lives with husband Rich and sons Ryan and Brandon in San Diego. Brother David lives and works in the Annapolis area and has a wonderful son, David Jr., and daughter Meghan and grand-daughter. My younger sister Kathy and husband Keith, Cameron and Kaitlyn have a lovely home in Monrovia. Last but not least is brother Tommy and wife Ivanka who live in Clarksburg. Tommy continues to own and operate Central Termite Control. Dad now resides in Hommassasa, Florida.
We built a second home in Murrell's Inlet South Carolina in 2006 which has become a rental property. Maybe one day we can start taking short trips down there again. I want to be in a place where I can go barefoot year round!
I am the Mother of three boys (Oh Boy!), Ryan is 17 and a Senior at Urbana High School. He plans to join the Coast Guard upon graduation from High School. Kevin is 22 and works for my brother's company, Central Termite Control. Scott is 24, and is a Paul Mitchell graduate and voted in the top 100 of best stylist's in the Country! He is currently living in San Franciso, CA. So proud of him and miss my "free" haircuts; but not as much as I miss him being here :)
They keep me standing at attention 24/7, but keep life interesting and worth living! (Love every minute of it, too!)
Dave has three grown children in the Montgomery County area and three darling Grandchildren.
Dream Vacation
I plan to visit Tuscany before I leave this earth...
